Zeitgeist

I learned a lot from this movie, today:

Admittedly, though, I fell asleep in the middle of it.

Even still, I learned a lot about certain symptoms, syndromes, and other "genetical" disorders.

On first glance, many people would say "Oh, it's one of those Secret movies."

However, what they'll fail to realize is that many of the topics brought up were published in scientific medical journals.

Yeah.

Why haven't you heard about it?

Sorry if I laugh, but in reality, no one wants to hear about the "boring" stuff... that's not news.

The news wants you to think that there's nothing you can do about "it".

The media only broadcasts the most sensational part of a subject.

And who wants to read something that makes a person proactive?

Most people want to sit on their laurels and rely strictly on some entity (imaginary or not) to "help them".

And I'm not even talking about God.

God told those that he will help them when they help themselves.

I'm talking about those that blame the government, an entity, or a person about their "loss".

Instead of cracking open a book, or investigating on the web, this person decides to sit there and let the Boob Tube read it to them like a children's novel.

In reality, no one sits down and just "gives you" anything.

You have to search for it, find the answers, then do the "right thing" as best as you can.

This is NOT to say that I'm perfect. I know that I'm far from it.

It's to say that if I want to know something, I have to search for the truth of it.

And that is why I'll never stop learning.
